This article will show you how to buy a Breezehome in Whiterun.
Steps
1 Complete the quests. You must complete the Bleak Falls Burrow quest and kill the dragon in the Western Watch Tower, outside Whiterun. 
2 Tell Jarl. Talk to Jarl in Dragonsearch Castle after killing the dragon. He will announce that you can now purchase property in Whiterun. And also, you will be rewarded by Housecarl. 
3 Buy a house. Talk to the manager (the person standing next to Jarl) and ask about buying a house. He will tell you about the prices and you can decide if you want to buy this house. It costs 5000 gold (the cheapest in Skyrim), unfurnished. 
4 Purchase furniture. Your house will be empty. There will be no doors in the house, and the overall picture will not be the most beautiful. 
5 Visit your home. The manager will give back the key to your house after purchasing it; when you get the key, you can visit your property (the house is next to the blacksmith's shop, near the front gate of Whiterun). When you enter the house (if you bought furniture), you will see the furniture arranged and your servant in the house.
Tips
- You will need 5000 gold.
- Save before heading to the Bleak Falls Burrow and fighting the dragon.
- Buy furniture.
Warnings
- If you are not a Thane of Whiterun, then you will not be able to purchase a house in this city.
